The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is a forum in which the governments of countries committed to democracy and the market economy may compare their experiences to meet the economic, governance and social challenges associated with globalisation, and to identify development opportunities. Members reflect on public actions, exchange good practices, coordinate their national and international policies where appropriate, and create international tools and recommendations. The OECD also compiles one of the most important statistical databases and regularly publishes studies on economic and social changes.
